86th Oscars Nominations Announced

The Oscar nominations were announced this morning and five nominees for Best Animated Feature were:

• The Croods Chris Sanders, Kirk DeMicco and Kristine Belson (Dreamworks/Fox)
• Despicable Me 2 Chris Renaud, Pierre Coffin and Chris Meledandri (Illumination/Universal)
• Ernest & Celestine Benjamin Renner and Didier Brunner (Les Amateurs/GKids)
• Frozen Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee and Peter Del Vecho (Disney)
• The Wind Rises Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki (Studio Ghibli)

"Happy" from Despicable Me 2 and "Let It Go" from Frozen were nominated for Best Song.
Nominated for Best animated short film were:

• Feral Daniel Sousa and Dan Golden
• Get a Horse! Lauren MacMullan and Dorothy McKim
• Mr. Hublot Laurent Witz and Alexandre Espigares
• Possessions Shuhei Morita
• Room on the Broom Max Lang and Jan Lachauer

The Academy Award winners will be announced on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014.
