#SDCC Day 1: Get a look inside the upcoming Pixar TV Special 'Toy Story That Time Forgot’

Today, Pixar unveiled their upcoming Christmas special, Toy Story That Time Forgot during the San Diego Comic-Con!
After Toy Story of Terror, ABC has announced their second Pixar Animation Studios TV special, Toy Story That Time Forgot (Tuesday, December 2 at 8 p.m. ET).

Toy Story That Time Forgot will feature: Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Kevin McKidd as Reptillus Maximus, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants, Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head and Joan Cusack as Jessie.
Galyn Susman (Toy Story OF TERROR!) is executive producing, and it’s directed by Steve Purcell (Brave)

The panel was moderated by executive producer Galyn Susman, director Steve Purcell, head of story Derek Thompson as well as stars Kevin McKidd and Kristen Schaal

Trixie takes over in this Toy Story Christmas special. In fact, Toy Story That Time Forgot will follow the new adventure of the Toy Story gang who embark on a post-Christmas play date where they meet the coolest set of action figures ever. However, the plastic heroes turn out to be dangerously delusional. It’s all up to Trixie the triceratops if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room safe.

During the panel, many of the new Battlesaurs were introduced:

• Reptillus Maximus is the leader of the Battlesaurs. He is refined, cultured, confident and witty.

• The Cleric is the top of the Battlesaur hierarchy. His job is to listen for the distant dream elders and their robotic cries of ‘TIME TO BATTLE’. With his three acolytes he controls many aspects of his society.

• Ray-Gon is the Battlesaur scientist. He has two brains and armors the Battlesaurs by using his robotic opposable thumbs.

• Two groups of warriors. Elysian guards are the sleek females guards who use a kendo fighting styles. Raptorian guards are the ‘stormtrooper’ of Battlesaurs…they all looks exactly alike and have Dimetrodon hounds they hunt and fight with.

• Brutes: the least intelligent. Brute force and menial labor.

To make you more and more excited to this new TV Special, Pixar is partnering with Mattel to bring a line of toys to store shelves this holiday season. Battle gear Trixie and Rex, Reptillus Maximus, the Cleric, a Goliathon, and Woody with battle crayon will be 4-inch action figures.
